Gadwall - Anas streptera

The Gadwall is a common and widespread duck of open wetlands. Adult females resemble a Mallard but are slightly smaller. The Gadwall is on the Eurasian and African Migratory Waterbirds Conservation list. The specimens on this page were photographed at Quinta Do Lago in Portugal.
