Blue Rock Thrush - Monticola solitarius

The Blue Rock Thrush inhabits rocky mountainous areas which is where they build their nests. They feed on a diet of insects, berries and small lizards.
They are most conspicuous when sitting on a rock tops surveying the area for prey. The photographs on this page were taken at Praia Da Rocha.
